Fountain's Published Graphic Novel Work

So Far!

Raven
Released in the Fall of 2005. "Raven" features the return of graphic novelist Fountain to the printed page after an absence of ten years. This is an age appropriate book for young Poe fans as well as their peers. This 24 page book features a unique twist: a flipside. Half of the book is upside down with alternate cover on the other side. And featured on the opposite side:

The Sleeping Glass Heart
Released in the Fall of 2005. "The Sleeping Glass Heart" is an original story, written and illustrated by Fountain. It features characters and situations from the lost films series and takes place between the lost films "Queen of the Night: and "Requiem."

LEVEL GROUND
A syndicated comic strip published weekly by the White Rocker News. Fountain drew this long running cartoon diary, weekly, from 1987 to 2005.

Negative Burn
A graphic short story published by Caliber Press, 1997. This 8 page story was an adaptation of the poem “The Conqueror Worm” by Edgar Allan Poe. Fountain worked on this project with former student and amazing art talent Cameron Baity.

The Big Bigfoot Book
A graphic short story, published by Mojo Press, 1996. Fountain penciled and inked a story called “Bigfoot in New York” written by the very talented mystery writer Neal Barrett Jr. The story is memorable because it featured no dialogue at all.

The TellTale Heart
A 64 page graphic novel, published by Mojo Press, 1995. Fountain designed and illustrated the book. This critically acclaimed collection featured “The Telltale Heart,” “Hop Frog,” “Cask of Amontillado,” “The Bells,” “Annabel Lee,” “The Sphinx,” “Eldorado,” “To Elizabeth,” and selections from other Poe stories and poems.

Weird Business
A graphic story, published by Mojo Press, 1995. Fountain penciled and inked the bizarre story “Trolling” written by award winning author F. Paul Wilson.

Creature Features
A graphic story, published by Mojo Press, 1994. Fountain wrote and illustrated “The Cult of the Eye” for this horror anthology. Fountain was a last minute addition to the book and had to write pencil and ink the 8 page story in less than a week to make a print deadline!

The Sound of Coming Darkness
A 64 page graphic novel, published by Blackbird Press, 1993. Fountain did the artwork, designs and story for this critically acclaimed debut. Created as part of a Master’s Thesis at the University of Texas at Dallas, this graphic novel is out of print and very hard to get a hold of!
