This is a project very near and dear to my heart! A startling adaptation of a startling film that promises to be an incredible theatrical experience!

 What is the play about? Our play takes place in New Orleans, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Maria survives the horrific storms and a deadly flood, only to find herself homeless and jobless. She travels to Dallas, Texas for shelter and work, like many of her Louisiana brothers and sisters, but what she finds when she arrives might be more devastating than the hurricane she barely escaped. She is haunted by night terrors, pursued by devious shadows and drawn inexorably to the abandoned State Fair grounds. Slowly but surely, Mary is losing her grasp on reality and moving into a world of shadows.

 Is Purgatory real? Did Mary really survive the flood at all? What waits for her at the Fair grounds?
